What you need to get started

Riding is a great social activity and here at Courtlands we what you to get the most out of your experience with us. We have compiled a small list of thing to help you prepare for you lesson

All scheduled lessons & hacking are subject to a non refundable £5 booking fee, with the balance payable when you arrive. Payment for private lessons (including Tasters is due in full when booking.

Below are some helpful hints to get you ready for riding

1.  Sensible Footwear

      You will need shoes or boots with a small flat heal

        NO Trainer, Sandels, flip-flops or High heal shoes

2.  Long Sleeves

      We ask that you wear a shirt, Tee shirt or a jumper with long sleeve

        NO wearing just vest tops, short sleeve tee shirts or

3.  Rider Registration

      We ask you to fill out our rider registration forms BEFORE you ride.

        This is a strict requirement of our insurance and you will not be

        covered without completing one.

Forms are available from the stables office, or download the one here fill it in and bring it with you.

4.  Riding Hat

       You will also need to wear a riding hat at all time while around our horses and ponies

           But we do provide hat hire for just a £1, as we don't expect you to have your own if

           you're just starting out.

Although every care is taken, all rider ride at their own risk
